This video was supposed to be my "farewell to the official servers" video. On early November, I had the first minute and a half done. Then, my harddisk died, and it took 3 weeks to get a replacement.

By the time I got back to work on it, the servers had already shut down, and I had to rethink where I wanted this video to end. It still has some rough edges, but I am reasonably happy with the result.

This is a crowd of 3700 heroes that gathered on various servers in protest of the closure of City of Heroes. This is a composite shot: we flew through over 50 instances of Atlas Park on various servers recording the heroes, then put them ALL together in a single shot. There are no cheats involved; every hero in here is a hero that logged in to City of Heroes for the Unity Rally. At the very front of the crowd, I included the signature characters for the City of Heroes developers and Community Managers. Most of them haven't worked in the game for years, but their contributions helped shape the game, and every single one of them deserve to be here. Even Fusionette!

This won third place in the GameTrailers' Matrix Machinima contest. I never got my prize though, I gave up asking for it after months of emailing them and getting no reply.

Statesman: "Greetings, heroes. Are you willing to face the wrath of Lord Recluse and his minions to perform a vital duty? Be warned though, while this mission is necessary, it's extremely dangerous."

Team Lead: "If it's gotta be done, we'll do it, States."

Statesman: "Good." *Hands Team Lead a DVD* "Your orders are to take this disc to Grandville. There, you're to hack into the PA system and display its contents for all to see."

Team Lead: "Wow... this really will be tough. What's on it? Details of Recluse's crimes? A UN ultimatum?"

I thought about entering this into the City of Commercials contest, but it's kind of lame. Still, with all the rickrolling going around in the boards, who else can say they've rickrolled Lord Recluse himself? Top that, noobs.

This video won first place in the City of Commercials contest in the City of Heroes forum.

For this second attempt I had my own account back, so I put together a video showing the activity I enjoy most in the game: Giant Monster hunting!

This video took seven hours to put together, about four of them spent looking for giant monsters and for people to take them down, two editing, one looking for a music track that didn't suck from COH's collection.

No demo editing. Everything was captured in-game, using the /disable2d command to switch the user interface off.

I put together this video for the City of Commercials contest in the City of Heroes forums. At the time my account was expired, so I used a friend's; but because I really didn't know how to play his characters, I ended up capturing mostly NPC action and hating it. The other two videos were made after reactivating my account.
